Reality
Reality started as a joint effort over a summer session of a video production class in my high school. It began as a brainstorm at the beginning of the class. It was supposed to be finished by the end of summer. By the end of summer I had written a script and we had shot it. However, it was no where near complete. Over half the movie had yet to be edited and then music was needed. After many hours of work throughout the following school year, I was able to complete Reality.

The music from the movie is comprised of small samples taken from the X-Files: Fight the Future score. I went through this score and found clips ranging from 1 to 15 seconds that fit different parts of the movie and basically used these sections as "instruments" in order to score it. I think it turned out really well and hopefully Mark Snow doesn't mind.

Aside from editing the music, I also edited a large majority of the video. Reality was nominated for several awards in a Miami film festival and took home Best Editing, Best Cinematography, and Best Picture Runner-Up. Unfortunately, aside from a few clips, Reality was never displayed to the public, as our high school annual film festival was cancelled due to the violence in our movies conflicting with the incident at Columbine High School.
