So you're saying that when World of Color premieres you don't want to hear a recording of World of The-Audio-That-Goes-With-The-Color? Somehow I don't think that show will translate very well to a podcast.

Not too much CGI, badly used CGI.

I am actually very surprised at some of these reviews. I mean, of course we all have our own opinions but I didn't think it was all that bad. Well, I do see where everyone is coming from with the too much CGI, but besides that I didn't really dislike anything.

I haven't seen it. I'm not sure if I will.

I would be much more inclined to see it if it weren't called "Alice in Wonderland." This is not the story of "Alice in Wonderland" it's not even a reimagining of that story the way Burton's "Sleepy Hollow" was a reimagining of Washington Irving's story. This is a sequel. If it was called "Return to Wonderland" or something like that, I would be just fine.

Yes, I know ... branding, branding, branding. The title itself is part of the draw. But do we really think this movie would have tanked if it were called "Alice and the Mad Hatter"?

Thanks very much for this. I must admit, I sometimes skip over the recordings of events like this. I'm sure something like a restaurant opening must be very fun to attend in person, but I don't always feel much need to listen to just the audio. But THIS was a treat. Thanks so much.

BTW if you don't have the most recent CD releases of the Mary Poppins or Jungle Book soundtracks (and there may be others), which include bonus tracks of the Sherman Brothers discussing how they wrote the songs, do yourself a favor and get them. Fantastic stories and a really interesting exploration of the creative process.

Something I learned from this audio: I had no idea Tinkerbell had been flying over the castle during the fireworks since back in Walt's day. I had assumed it was a relatively recent thing. Shows what I know!

Thanks again!

Biggest issue: 1 Million Volunteers, not tickets actually used. I know tons of people around here who have a free ticket with their name on it but have no way of ever using it.

Actually, he compared it to Princess and the Frog (!). I guess this Salon.com writer just pointed out Disney's hypocrisy on this issue. Oops.

I'm planning a 10 day trip to Disney World, and a 3 day trip to Disneyland , with 2 kids and 2 parents, the tickets alone will cost about 2000 dollars. 4 Premium passes would cost 2800 dollars. So it's a hard call, and something the family has been considering since the announcement.

My issue is that DVC is always pushing the fact that we get a DVC discount on the annual passes. I own DVC points on both coasts and think it would be nice to have a DVC discount. Even a 50 - 100 dollar discount would make it affordable.

It's a hard call. Prior to the economy hitting the toilet, I would have jumped on this right away. Unfortunately, this was the first year in 7 years that we had to pass on our Disneyland Annual Pass. We'll see.
