About your Host
My name is Ricky Brigante and I live just outside Orlando, FL in a city called Winter Garden.
I moved here after graduating
from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in computer science. I am now self-employed
mainly working on graphic arts, with a little bit of programming here and there. Other than going
to Walt Disney World regularly, my hobbies include playing various musical instruments,
building and maintaining web pages, and trying to finish unpacking and decorating in my new house.

History of Inside the Magic
I had the idea to start a podcast when I first discovered the whole concept of podcasts. At
first I wasn't sure what topic to address... a few different ones came to mind. After surfing
around and checking out a few different podcasts, I realized that one of my favorite topics, Disney,
was not thoroughly covered. There were thousands of news and rumor sites related to Disney, but only
a couple of podcasts. More importantly, none of these Disney-related podcasts were
run out of Orlando! I knew immediately that I had found my topic.
This show began in April of 2005. There has been a new episode of Inside the Magic every week
since then. We started with a couple hundred weekly listeners and have grown to several thousand.
Inside the Magic has been featured in the Orlando Sentinel, on FOX35 News in Orlando, and was nominated
for two 2006 Podcast Awards (Best Entertainment Podcast and Best Produced Podcast). We have also regularly been a featured podcast in the Family category
of the iTunes podcast listing.
