Great Amazon.com Blu-Ray Sale – $9.99 and Up
Amazon.com regularly holds Blu-Ray movie “sales” that usually end up either being just $1 or $2 off the regular prices or feature a selection of movies that no one wants. However, their most recent Blu-Ray sale is different and actually features some good movies for good prices!
It says as low as $13.99 but there are actually a few as low as $9.99 that are worth adding to your collection. Here are some movies I’m considering buying today, all on Blu-Ray:
- Stargate (Extended Cut) – $9.99
- Total Recall – $9.99
- Clear and Present Danger – $14.49
- The Fugitive – $13.49
- Halloween – $12.99
- Wall-E (Two-Disc) – $19.49
- Iron Man – $16.99
Check out the full selection of relatively cheap Blu-Ray movies here. Don’t miss the price breakdown at the top, where you can show only those Under $10 and those $10-15 for the best deals.
Tweet“Kung Fu Panda” Dominates the Annie Awards, “Wall-E” Receives None

Despite all of the mainstream praise for Disney/Pixar’s Wall-E, Kung Fu Panda took all of the top honors in the recent Annie Awards for animated films.
From www.annieawards.org:
“Kung Fu Panda” pulled out all its martial arts moves Friday night at the 36th annual Annie Awards, where it was named best animated feature.
Winning the top prize over such other nominees as the critical favorites “WALL-E” and “Waltz With Bashir,” “Panda” swept the feature film categories as it picked up 10 trophies, bettering Pixar’s “Ratatouille” run last year when it earned nine Annies, including best feature.

In fact, Wall-E did not win a single award. Previously, the Disney/Pixar film had won the Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature along with a number of other accolades. Wall-E has also been nominated for several Academy Awards.
I find it very interesting that it did not receive any recognition amongst awards given out by the International Animated Film Society. Perhaps I’m really not the only person who thought that it didn’t live up to all the hype it has received.
