365 Adventures in 2011: Day 179 – Castor and Siren acquired
I finally found the rare Castor/Clu and Siren/Sam Flynn figure two-packs at Target recently and tonight I am unboxing them! These elusive figures are the last of the Tron: Legacy items that I’ve been searching for. And they were on clearance for only $3.48 each! I wish the single articulated Castor figure had been released as planned in the scale with the rest, but this smaller one will do.

Target recently put all their Tron: Legacy toys on clearance, so I picked up a few fun little sets that I didn’t have… including one I had never even seen in stores, though I’d been looking for it for months! The little Tron arcade machine is great.
I am still in search of Castor and Siren figures, but those are apparently incredibly rare. I’ll probably end up getting them on eBay.
Tweet365 Adventures in 2011: Day 103 – Yep, more Tron Legacy toys
Just when I thought I was done buying Tron: Legacy stuff, I find out that Woot was offering a great deal on the “ultimate” action figure versions of Sam Flynn and Clu, only $10 each. I couldn’t pass it up, as they were two of the very few Tron: Legacy toys I didn’t have. And now I do:
As a surprise bonus, the identity discs that come with these figures are metal, not plastic, so they make great collectibles on their own.

I received my review copy of Tron: Legacy and the original TRON today! It’s the 5-disc set that includes Tron: Legacy Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray, DVD, and digital copy as well as a disc for the first film. Though I don’t personally own a 3D Blu-ray player or 3D TV, I do have a Best Buy right down the street with plenty of employees who were more than happy to let me watch pieces of the film using their 3D equipment. At home, I watched half of the many bonus features and will soon dive into the movie itself before posting a complete review next week. But I will say that I’m quite impressed with everything I’ve seen so far.
Tweet365 Adventures in 2011: Day 76 – Tron sale!
Michelle showed me the latest Target sale ad featuring a Tron: Legacy 3-man Light Jet toy that I didn’t even know existed. It’s on sale for $25. So after a quick trip down the street, it is now mine. But… it’s HUGE and I have no idea where I’m going to put it. No room on the Tron shelf!
