Disney sends Comic-Con attendees on Tron scavenger hunt
One of the biggest mysteries at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con surrounded the sequel to Disney’s film Tron. At last year’s Comic-Con, Disney unveiled some test footage and said that “Tron 2.0″ was in the works. The footage was never officially released anywhere, though some shaky camera-phone versions showed up online.
Well this year, Disney has now officially released that same video but are now calling the film Tron Legacy. It seems that the incredible interest level in last year’s clip gave the studio the confidence to green light the film. Here’s the clip:
In addition, Disney set up an elaborate scavenger hunt through San Diego that had some visitors using a blacklight and map given to them to hunt for a mystery Tron-related location. Ultimately, they found “Flynn’s Arcade” (Flynn is a main character in the original Tron movie):


Beyond the ’80s arcade, complete with Tron video game, was the biggest surprise:


It was a full-size light cycle from the upcoming film. Pretty incredible. In addition, posters, t-shirts, and arcade tokens were being handed out. It also looks like the film’s star Jeff Bridges visited at one point as well:
