If you’re really serious about using the Wii to get into shape, you need to do a bit more than just play Wii Bowling for a half hour every day. You need to want it, and you need to be willing to really feel the burn.
These Wii Weights wrap around your wrists to make those backhand swings really count. This is just a prototype, and one that won’t get made as it has nothing to do with a Wii other than the photoshopped logo, so if you want to have the same effect just go out and buy some wrist weights and get ready to hate gaming. –Adam Frucci
Very funny. I actually wouldn’t mind buying these. Depending on the weight and the game being played, it could really give you a workout!
I hadn’t see a photo of this celebrity for quite a while, so this one was a little startling. Here he is at the 2006 Oscars. Let’s see…clues….I think he is estranged from his television star wife, had tongue cancer surgery, hip replacement surgery and is touring this summer with his 15-year old son, Wolfgang.
You’re right! Eddie Van Halen. Photo from a fansite called vanhalen.8k.com
It was reported this week from many sources that Saudi billionaire Prince Alwaleed bin Talal wants to build an $8 billion dollar Disney resort in Bahrain, a tiny island country in the Persian Gulf, connected to Saudi Arabia by the King Fahd Causeway to the northwest and Qatar to the south. There apparently are plans to build the largest bridge in the world between these two neighbors, the Qatar-Bahrain Friendship Bridge.
Alwaleed is the world’s eighth richest man and owns 10 percent of Disneyland Paris operating company EuroDisney and his company Rotana Audio Visual signed to distribute Walt Disney products in the Middle East and Africa.
Building a theme park would obviously strengthen the brand in the region and allow his company to sell more Walt Disney products. The Prince is not a stranger to publicity — apparently in 2001 the Prince presented Mayor Rudy Guilliani with a $10,000,000 check for the Twin Tower fund but it was rejected when a statement released with the check became political and in 2005 he donated the largest sum ever to the world’s largest museum — $20 million to the Louvre.

engadget.com reports:
Greg Canessa, Xbox Live Arcade executive that recently jumped ship to PopCap, told Wired the following about his new job: “It will be about taking the stable of franchises and games out of PopCap’s studio and adapting, customizing it for different platforms — adding multiplayer, new play modes, HD, customizing the user interface and display for Zune, iPod, Apple TV, Nintendo DS, PSP.” You might think that maybe the Apple TV part was an erroneous slip, but he did mention adding HD support, and none of the other subjects for ports he listed play games in HD — you do the math. What we really want to know, though, is how they plan to get us to game with the impossibly minimal Apple remote bundled with the Apple TV.
If true, this will be very cool. There have always been rumors flying around of Apple getting into the gaming buisness (again). This may be a great way to do it. Being able to download classic games playable in Widescreen-HD would make many happy. But like the article said, how can you game with that Apple remote? Guess they’ll have to release a controller…
The Orlando Sentinel reports:
In addressing investors, [Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Jay] Rasulo said Disney is thinking about developing major “flagship” hotels — such as the Disney Grand Floridian at Walt Disney World — or themed hotels that could be built in large cities that already are tourist draws.
Disney had previously released concept art of such an urban development:
