From craftster.org:

So one day I picked up an NES Zapper (gun) and went “woah, that would make a cool lamp!” So… after playing around…
I gutted one… who knew this is what they looked like inside?
Then I stumbled around for ideas for the base and shade. A regular cartridge was too small a base, so I measured one and made a 1.5 scale replica out of cardboard, and screwed the gun to it. I weighted it with stones, and then tackled the shade.
I picked up a $2 shade at the re-store, a pack of fun foam, and voila! After hours and hours of cutting pixellated shapes, I was done! A little dab of glue to secure the shade, and… ta dah!
I want one of these, especially if you can pull the trigger to turn it on and off.

With the imminent release of one of the most highly-anticipated console games ever, Grand Theft Auto IV, I decided it was finally time to purchase a “next-gen” video game system. That is, since GTAIV was only being released on the XBox 360 and Playstation 3, I wasn’t going to be able to use my wonderfully-entertaining Nintendo Wii to play it, so I had to pick one of the other systems.
At first, my decision was an easy one, one that would be made on price alone. The least-expensive version of the XBox 360 (the “Arcade” system) is roughly $280. The least-expensive version of the Playstation 3 is roughly $400. Plus, I soon discovered that if I purchased an XBox 360 along with GTA IV from BestBuy.com, I would receive a $50 Best Buy gift card for free, essentially bringing the price of the XBox 360 down to $230… what a deal! I couldn’t pass that up.
I quickly made my purchase on Monday, April 27th, 2008 and selected store pick-up for both the console system and video game. Shortly after placing my order, I received a series of e-mails from BestBuy.com letting me know that my $50 gift card was getting ready to ship, GTAIV would be ready for in-store pick-up on April 29th, and that the XBox 360 Arcade would be ready for pickup on April 28th, since the store was closed when I placed the order. Fair enough. This was shaping up to become the easiest game release ever. I had everything pre-ordered for store pickup, so no waiting in line and no worrying if they’d run out of copies before I got my hands on one. Boy, was I wrong about that.

From hyrule.net:
You all know I love the Phoenix Wright series and its soundtrack. Well, here are the original soundtracks for all four games, plus the jazz and orchestrated albums!
Take note that the tracklists for the four game soundtracks are not complete. I just pulled out what I thought were the standouts from each game. But the standards such as the court and character themes are all present. All tracks were uploaded by me.
I don’t think these tracks are available anywhere in the United States and if you’ve played the Phoenix Wright series of Nintendo DS games as much as I have, you’ve already got all of the tunes permanently embedded in your head… so now you can listen to them in full orchestration and/or with a jazz ensemble!
If you haven’t checked out any of the Phoenix Wright games, you need to. They’re essentially point-and-click adventure games wrapped around a world of characters in a courtroom setting. You play as Phoenix Wright, a young attorney at the beginning of his career, trying to make sense of everything around him. You gather evidence, talk to a variety of zany witnesses, suspects, and colleagues, all in trying to get a ‘Not Guilty’ verdict for your client.

With a new Indiana Jones movie due out in May, it’s an appropriate time for the LEGO video game series to branch out beyond Star Wars and head to the world of Indiana Jones.
LEGO Indiana Jones is due out in June of 2008, roughly a month after the new Indy film hits the big screen.
Right now, you can check out this video of some of the LEGO Indiana Jones game play. Looks like a blast.

From ign.com:
February 19, 2008 - Disney Interactive will introduce a new online DS service called DGamer in May that will enable users to create their own Disney-related DS profiles, make their own avatars, track accomplishments, correspond and trade collected items over the DS wi-fi connection.
Here’s how the service works. When you insert a DGamer-enabled cart into your DS, you’ll have the option to sign up for the service — minors have limited access and adults can authorize more access by providing a credit card number for age verification.
Once connected, you’ll create a handle and customize your avatar, choosing from a number of different Disney-themed clothing items and accessories (Buzz Lightyear, Narnia, Mickey, etc.). DGamer members can then use the free service to compare ‘honors,’ that they’ve accumulated from playing DGamer-enabled games or chat about games or general topics. Conversations are monitored by Disney moderators. DGamer account holders can also access the service from a PC.
Right now the service is only planned for DS, but Disney said it hopes to introduce a similar concept on the Wii in the future. The new feature will debut on The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, due out in May, and Disney expects to release 10 more DGamer titles in 2008.
Sounds very interesting. I’d like to see how it turns out!

I know, everyone here probably has all ready heard this all over the web, but it’s true! I picked up No More Heroes yesterday (1/24/08) and have yet to be disappointed. Granted, I am a Suda51 (Killer 7, etc.) fan, but I know for certain that everyone (17+) will eat this game up!
The art style makes this game shine and really come alive on Wii like nothing else and the over-the-top action leaves you wanting more. Travis Touchdown is a wanna-be assassin who decided to start going through the ranks starting with #10. Each assassin he faces has his/her own unique personality that really makes each and every character stand-out. We can only hope a sequel will be made.
From the great characters to the insane combat, Travis Touchdown has scored one for the Wii gamer looking to pick up something fresh. If you like great games, this one is for you. Cheers.

From wikipedia.org:

The game will be using “Digital Molecular Matter” developed by Pixelux Entertainment for dynamically destructible objects, Havok for rigid body physics, a graphics engine developed by LucasArts in conjunction with ILM and Euphoria developed by NaturalMotion specifically for the game.
The game will take place sometime after the rise of the Galactic Empire, and allow players to control Force-users. Motion images seen to date highlight the engines use of Pixeluxs Digital Molecular Matter, showing Force-users using telekinesis and Force lightning.
The game takes place between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. The player assumes the role of “Darth Vaders secret apprentice”. The player is sent across the galaxy to destroy the remaining Jedi. Set in the dark times between Episodes III and IV, the story is both a continuation of the prequel trilogy - exploring the aftermath of Order 66 and focusing on the continued evolution of Darth Vader - and a direct bridge to the Classic trilogy.
I wonder if Vader’s apprentice was Tarkin — remember when Tarkin is accused of “holding Vader’s leash”? Perhaps that wasn’t really the way it was at all and Tarkin’s rise was controlled behind the scenes by Vader. Just a thought….Dr. Disney
