365 Adventures in 2011: Day 53 – Clyde caught glaring at Disney Princesses
Since everyone seemed to enjoy seeing my Clyde Pac-Man ghost shirt in yesterday’s photo, I figured I’d share a couple more taken yesterday as well for today’s picture. Yes, I’m cheating again on this daily photo thing and I still don’t care.
(For those wanting to know where I got the Clyde shirt, it came from 80sTees.com. They have other Pac-Man ghosts too.)
While Michelle ate a Dole Whip in Adventureland last night, I decided to check out the new Princess meet-and-greet nearby. Inside, I found Cinderella and Aurora. After I got home and reviewed the photos, I realized they look like Clyde’s eyes, on my shirt, are staring at the Princesses. I’ll let you decide exactly what the eyes are looking at.
The nice thing about meet-and-greets with Disney characters is it doesn’t matter whether you’re a 4-year-old girl or a 30-year-old guy with long hair and a creepy, glaring orange shirt with eyes, they still engage in a themed conversation with you before snapping a few photos. Cindy said I reminded her of Prince Charming (yeah, right) and both girls asked if I had a princess – to which I replied that she was outside eating a Dole Whip. I spoke the truth.
And during the conversations, the PhotoPass photographers snap away, making it look like we’re best buddies:

Tonight Clyde became the 1,000th happy haunt to take up residence at The Haunted Mansion.
No sign of Pac-Man.

There’s not too much story to today’s photo. While wandering Disney’s Animal Kingdom today, I found Jiminy Cricket in the Rafiki’s Planet Watch section of the park. I don’t remember recently seeing him as a meet-and-greet character, so I had to grab a photo with him.
Tweet365 Adventures in 2011: Day 49 – Just call me Snuffleupagus
While at Busch Gardens yesterday covering Cheetah Hunt construction, I finally had a chance to visit the relatively new Sesame Street Safari of Fun section of the park. It opened last year but this was my first time making it there to check it out.
As a long-time Sesame Street fan (who isn’t?), I was thrilled to get my picture with none other than Big Bird!
I was always partial to Snuffleupagus, but the big yellow fellow would do. The area looks like a blast for children, but I was disappointed to see that all the rides were for kids only. I really wanted to ride the water hippos.
If you’re interested in seeing more, I’ll likely post some pictures and video from the area soon over at InsideTheMagic.net.
And yes, this photo was taken yesterday so it’s kind of cheating on this daily photo thing. But I don’t care. Deal with it.
Tweet365 Adventures in 2011: Day 48 – Rockin the cheetah print hard hat at Busch Gardens
Today I toured the construction site for Busch Gardens Tampa Bay’s upcoming “Cheetah Hunt” roller coaster. Keeping with the theme, I was given to wear (though couldn’t take home) a hard hat featuring cheetah print. Stylish.
It’s not every day you get to walk a theme park construction site or touch roller coaster track, so I made sure to get a few photos of me in the process. And here they are:
