My review copy of Kinect Disneyland Adventures arrived in the mail. Can’t argue with a virtual Disney theme park! More thoughts to come soon. Glad to finally get some solid use out of the Kinect we won from Dave and Buster’s recently.Tweet
Today was another visit to the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, likely the last for 2011. I tried a bunch of items I hadn’t had before, including an artisan cheese selection with Le Delice de Bourgogne Lincet, Thomasville Tomme Sweet Grass Dairy, and Chevre Affine Wyngaard Kaas. It was a great combination of mild, medium, and strong tasting cheese with honey, fig, and crackers to go with them. Yum.Tweet
I upgraded my Walt Disney World annual pass back in August to the Premium version to start getting 20% off merchandise instead of just 10%. The pass also gives me unlimited access to Disney’s water parks, which I’ve never had before. But since I upgraded, I haven’t found time to actually visit any of those parks… until this morning. Despite the fact that it was below 70 degrees when I woke up today (and snowing in other parts of the country), it was a good chance for me to hop over to Typhoon Lagoon for a few hours.
The chilly weather seemed to scare away most tourists, so the park was practically empty. I was able to hop on the slides as many times as I wanted with no wait and float around the lazy river for a while, without it being overcrowded. The water is heated and the sun was shining, so the lower temperature didn’t bother me at all. And I had fun.Tweet
I know Halloween is really, really over when I put away this year’s Halloween Horror Nights media gift/invitation. The severed hand sent to me by Lady Luck is now boxed up, placed upstairs with a mutilated old doll from clown Jack and a chain-wrapped jewelry box from Bloody Mary. I look forward to seeing what arrives when Halloween Horror Nights 22 comes around in 2012. Now it’s officially time to put it behind me and prepare for Thanksgiving and Christmas.Tweet
We went to the Mall at Millenia for preview night of the new PinkBerry frozen yogurt shop. For a few hours, they were giving out free frozen yogurt with any toppings. While Michelle stood in line, I browsed around the mall, returning just in time to grab a cup of chocolate yogurt with coconut, dark chocolate crunchies, a waffle cookie crisp wafer thing, and some kiwi. The kiwi tasted oddly bitter, but the rest was quite good. Michelle devoured hers faster than I could even find out what she ordered. I also tried PinkBerry’s new peppermint flavor, debuting at this new location before the rest of the country. It was good for the first bite or two, but got old fast.
I should also note that somewhere along the line I messed up the numbering of these daily photos, so I am fixing it today, the 307th day of the year. I don’t think I missed any days, only mis-numbered them somewhere. And I don’t feel like going back and fixing it.Tweet
