365 Adventures in 2011: Day 31 – Making more space in my Tomorrowland
Our upstairs bonus room in our house was once a Tomorrowland-inspired place for posters, collectibles, games, and toys. But over the last 6 or so years of living in this house, that room has accumulated more and more stuff, with not enough space to accommodate all of it. So it became a cluttered mess, rather than a fun room. Now after a recent trip to IKEA, Michelle and I are adding a bunch of new shelving and display units to the room and rearranging it to fit all our new stuff – and hopefully more stuff in the future. We’re always buying stuff.
So here’s the “before” photo, taken after only a couple posters and a shelf were removed from a wall:
I’ll post an in-progress image or two in the coming days and eventually an “after” shot whenever we complete the project.
And yes, that’s a life-size Sulley from Monsters, Inc. We have a life-size Mike too.

Anyone who has a trashcan from Tomorrowland as a collectable must be an uber fan
Where did you steal that can from and how did you smuggle it out?
Amazing collection of Tomorrowland stuff — even more amazing considering the fact that you always say you’re really a Haunted Mansion fan. Can’t even fathom the size of your Haunted Mansion collection.
Nice to see Tom Serv-O from MST3K in the lower left.
Love the Adventure Through Inner Space poster. I’m sure that this attraction was long gone by the time you made it out to Disneyland, but it was one of my favorites as a kid. Nice to see the classics getting represented.
