365 Adventures in 2011: Day 15 – Free Swedish food – and some furniture too

Another twofer today, this time from IKEA Orlando where they were offering free dining at their in-store restaurant for anyone who spent $100 or more on furniture in the same day. Michelle and I took them up on their offer…

…twice…

…and no, we didn’t eat ALL that food. But it was free, so we decided to sample nearly everything they had to offer. Now when we go back, we’ll know exactly what to eat (and what not to).

We were planning on buying a couple hundred dollars of furniture from there anyway, so the free food was just a bonus. And we didn’t plan on making two trips, but weren’t sure if everything we wanted would fit in the car at once, so we only bought a couple things… then came back a couple hours later for the rest (and more food).

The winners: Swedish meatballs, Lingonberry juice, garlic bread, cornbread, plantains, chocolate cake, chicken strips, and vegetable soup. Everything else was just mediocre.

Looks like a ton of good food. And it’s not difficult to spend $100 at IKEA.

Meanwhile in Africa, millions of children die of hunger. Still, free food :-)
