Back to the Future 2-Disc Special Edition including BTTF: The Ride is out now!
Here’s a quick reminder to all Back to the Future fans:

THIS VERSION HAS BACK TO THE FUTURE: THE RIDE!
Yes, as I told you back in November, the extinct Universal Studios theme park attraction (well, at least in the United States) can be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home by simply popping in disc 2 of this new Back to the Future DVD release. In addition to the entire ride film, the DVD also includes the pre-show and the pre-pre-show footage starring Christopher Lloyd as Dr. Emmett “Doc” Brown and Tom Wilson as Biff.

Wasn’t this supposed to be on blu-ray at the same time too? I looked around in Walmart and only found the single DVDs of BTTF one and two. Come to think of it, what about number three?
The Blu-Ray release is up in the air. They are working on it but I don’t believe a release date is set.
I saw a special screening of the high-definition master last year and it looked great. It was shown on a movie theater screen, so it was a bit pixelated up close, but from further away it looked just as good as film.
Back to the Future III also came out in a new release.
I’ve got it. Should see the film and some bonus features sometime this weekend.
