Disney 20Q - Help train it!

Mattel is searching for the help of Disney fans for a new product called 20Q Disney. It’s a device that will guess what Disney character, place, or other item you’re thinking of in 20 questions.

They’re currently working on training the device online and want you to play the game many times to help it get smarter:

So far, it hasn’t figured out any of my Haunted Mansion-related thoughts but I imagine it will over time.

Here’s an image of what the device will look like:

It is due for release next spring.

Similar devices have been released with Star Trek, Harry Potter, and The Simpsons themes.

Interestingly, it doesn’t seem to handle Pixar characters. I was actually thinking of Remy, but realized none of the possibilities flashing as it was “thinking” were Pixar characters. The questions it asked led me to be able to use Mickey, but still, Pixar is a part of Disney now, so those characters should be included.

Unless I missed something at the beginning?

My son has a general purpose one and I am amazed at how often it guesses the correct thing. This one seems to have a ways to go… it seems to ask strange questions when you tell it you are thinking of a place (e.g. Is it male?).

It guessed Chip-N-Dale, but had problems with Ezra, and Main Street Station. It did eventually get Stitch and the Haunted Mansion (but not as quickly as I would expect).

I used Chernabog and it came up with that. This is pretty cool. Although I do think that it is funny that these characters were listed a similar: Fidget (The Great Mouse Detective), Shere Khan, the seagulls (Finding Nemo), Chick Hicks, Magica De Spell, Pain (Hercules), the Wicked Queen (Snow White), Sarafina, Hiram Flaversham, Hydra, Stromboli, the Crocodile (Peter Pan)
