Nike Hyperdunk McFlys debut in Santa Monica

New “Hyperdunk McFlys” shoes from Nike debuted yesterday in limited quantities and are now fetching hefty price tags on eBay.

From bttf.com:

The new shoes are inspired by Marty McFly’s Nike “Mags” from Back to the Future Part II, and apparently sport glow-in-the-dark soles.

[…]

Undefeated will have only a very limited number of shoes available [on July 2] — reportedly around 100 pairs — priced about $240.00 each. The shoes are expected to receive a limited release later this month (July 26) with only 1,000 pairs in all being made.

Finally! 2015 was getting closer, and I was getting worried! We’re still to see flying cars, portable fusion reactors, movie theater hologram marquees, thumbprint doorlocks, dehydrated pizza, automatic shoelaces, hoverboards, vidphone glasses… Did I miss anything?

Actually, we do have thumbprint doorlocks:

And more and more impressive 3D films are making their way to theaters, with lenticular posters that are similar to holograms.

The rest… not so much.

Wow, that doorlock is pretty call! I had no idea!

And so far we haven’t had the pleasure of receiving those lenticular posters down here in Brazil. We do have 2 3D screens in Rio, though. :)
