From orlandosentinel.com:
Another item on my theme-park I WISH list has come to be. Aquatica, SeaWorld’s water park, has changed they way it refunds deposits for locker and towel rentals. And in a good way!
Previously, guests received a three-dollar in-house credit, not cold, hard cash. The credit was good for a year at Aquatica and SeaWorld. However, beginning this week, Aquatica visitors will get five bucks once they return the key (or towel).
The refund has gone up two bucks, but so has the rental charge. So the rental cost for guests remains the same. I’ll prove it after jump even though it means doing math in the morningtime.
Old way: Upfront locker costs were $8 and $10, depending on size of locker. $3 was given back upon return of key (gift card). Actual cost minus deposit: $5 and $7.
New, improved way: Upfront locker costs are $10 and $12, depending on size of locker. $5 was given back upon return of key (real U.S. currency.) Actual cost minus deposit: $5 and $7.
SeaWorld officials say giving back a five-dollar bill will be quicker than say three singles. I have to agree. Aquatica, we salute you!
