First Gameplay Video - ‘Indiana Jones’ LEGO Video Game

picture-1.png

With a new Indiana Jones movie due out in May, it’s an appropriate time for the LEGO video game series to branch out beyond Star Wars and head to the world of Indiana Jones.

LEGO Indiana Jones is due out in June of 2008, roughly a month after the new Indy film hits the big screen.

Right now, you can check out this video of some of the LEGO Indiana Jones game play. Looks like a blast.

New ‘Get Smart’ Trailer in HD

I’m a huge fan of the original Get Smart TV series… mostly because I grew up with Inspector Gadget, which featured the voice of the late Don Adams as the title character. Don Adams, of course, was Maxwell Smart on Get Smart.

Now, in true Hollywood fashion, Get Smart is being remade into a feature-length film starring comedian Steve Carell as Maxwell Smart… and I’m excited about it after seeing the new trailerhere.

More information about the film:

In the all-new action comedy “Get Smart,” Maxwell Smart (Steve Carell) is on a mission to thwart the latest plot for world domination by the evil crime syndicate known as KAOS. When the headquarters of U.S. spy agency Control is attacked and the identities of its agents compromised, the Chief (Alan Arkin) has no choice but to promote his ever-eager analyst Maxwell Smart, who has always dreamt of working in the field alongside stalwart superstar Agent 23 (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson). Smart is partnered instead with the only other agent whose identity has not been compromised: the lovely-but-lethal veteran Agent 99 (Anne Hathaway). As Smart and 99 get closer to unraveling KAOS’ master plan—and each other—they discover that key KAOS operative Siegfried (Terence Stamp) and his sidekick Shtarker (Kenneth Davitian) are scheming to cash in with their network of terror. Given little field experience and even less time, Smart—armed with nothing but a few spy-tech gadgets and his unbridled enthusiasm—must defeat KAOS if he is to save the day.

From reuters.com:

Democrats - and especially Hillary Clinton — look like winners this year to the Walt Disney Co.

The House of Mouse has given 64 percent of its total political contributions so far in the 2008 election cycle to Dems and has showered Clinton with more Mickeybucks than any other presidential contender this year, according to data compiled by the Center for Responsive Politics. NBC’s ‘Las Vegas’ Cancelled.

From imdb.com:

Although the last “all new” episode of NBC’s Las Vegas ended with the words “to be continued,” the storyline won’t be. After receiving word that the network had canceled the series, its creator, Gary Scott Thompson, told TV Guide Online: “We were probably the first victim of the strike. The strike did us in. We had three more episodes to shoot for the season, which we didn’t get done. And the ‘To be continued…’ was actually supposed to be the first part of a two-parter. But that’s as far as we got.” Thompson said that he had warned his writers, “If there’s a strike, it’s going to be shows like ours that get hurt the most.” (He was presumably referring to shows with mediocre ratings.) He said that after the strike ended, he had hoped that he would at least have been allowed “to wrap it up and make it satisfying for all the fans, and, in some ways, give ourselves an incredible curtain call with all the major characters.”

I watched this show religiously since its first episode and while it has definitely had its ups and downs in quality, I’m upset to hear that we won’t be seeing more of it. A grand finale show would be nice.

Now the question is what will NBC do with their elaborate Montecito casino floor set that they seem to use in every other show they own (Heroes, Knight Rider, etc)

Disney Releases Rescued Sea Turtles Back To Ocean

From cfnews13.com:

snapshot296.jpg

After spending several weeks at Walt Disney World, nine sea turtles were released back into the Atlantic Ocean Sunday morning.

The turtles washed up on the Brevard County shore in December 2007 during a red tide bloom.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, along with several other organizations, picked up the nine turtles — as well as about a dozen others, which were released earlier in the year — and nursed them back to health. Read the rest of this entry »

More on Hitlers Disney doodles…

From ananova.com:

Is this drawing of Dopey by Adolph Hitler?

(As we said previously) William Hakvaag, the director of a war museum in northern Norway, said he found the drawings hidden in a painting signed “A. Hitler” that he bought at an auction in Germany.

The initials on the sketches, and the signature on the painting, matched other copies of Hitlers handwriting, he claimed.

“Hitler had a copy of Snow White,” he said. “He thought this was one of the best movies ever made.”

Hitler tried to make a living as an artist before his rise to power. Nineteen watercolours and two sketches said to be by Hitler were sold in Britain two years ago for a total of £118,000.
