From iriver and the house The Mouse built comes this limited edition Mplayer. Gold plating and a Philips PNX0103ET audio processor create what iriver calls an “assassin’s mace” of a device. Sure, Cute. Simple. Friendly. Now add Opulent to the tagline too — at 元888 Chinese Yuan (about $123) you’ll be looking at a 100% or so markup over their standard 1GB Mplayer.
Thanks goes to Dan Smith for the link.

I know, everyone here probably has all ready heard this all over the web, but it’s true! I picked up No More Heroes yesterday (1/24/08) and have yet to be disappointed. Granted, I am a Suda51 (Killer 7, etc.) fan, but I know for certain that everyone (17+) will eat this game up!
The art style makes this game shine and really come alive on Wii like nothing else and the over-the-top action leaves you wanting more. Travis Touchdown is a wanna-be assassin who decided to start going through the ranks starting with #10. Each assassin he faces has his/her own unique personality that really makes each and every character stand-out. We can only hope a sequel will be made.
From the great characters to the insane combat, Travis Touchdown has scored one for the Wii gamer looking to pick up something fresh. If you like great games, this one is for you. Cheers.

From cnn.com:

“Cloverfield” is the first adrenaline-pumping monster hit of the year, bringing in more than $40 million dollars on its opening weekend. The thriller is told from the point of view of five young New Yorkers using their handheld camera. But for some viewers, being “part” of the movie is making them sick — literally.
Theaters showing “Cloverfield” are posting warnings of possible motion sickness. One blogger on the popular movie database IMDB.com said, “I had to get up and leave the theater for nearly 20 minutes just to keep from hurling.” Other moviegoers have reported being nauseated and dizzy. From abc.net.au:

Ledger joins the likes of Brandon Lee in young Hollywood deaths…strange similiarity in their characters……Dr. Disney
It could take another 10 days to determine how Australian actor Heath Ledger died, after an initial autopsy in New York proved inconclusive.
The Oscar-nominated Perth-born actor was found dead in his SoHo bedroom by his housekeeper yesterday. He was 28.
The New York Medical Examiner says an autopsy on Ledgers body has failed to pinpoint the cause of his death and more toxicology and tissue tests will have to be done.
New York Police Commissioner Ray Kelly has confirmed a rolled up $20 note was also found by police, but he will not confirm if any substances were found on it.
“We are not going to make a statement about the $20 bill until a test has been conducted,” he said.

As you probably have heard by now, it’s Oscar nominations day, and Hollywood is all a-buzz.
But up here in the Bay Area, there are some pretty happy people as well.
That’s because the folks at Lucasfilm divisions Industrial Light & Magic and Skywalker Sound were honored with a total of six nominations Tuesday. Read the rest of this entry »

From google.com:

Hong Kong Disneyland unveiled new Chinese New Year outfits for Mickey and Minnie Mouse created by designer Vivienne Tam on Monday as part of the park’s efforts to boost its appeal to Chinese tourists after a dismal second year.
Disney’s two iconic characters strutted their stuff down a red carpet — Mickey in a bright red Mao suit and Minnie in a cherry blossom red dress with a bouquet-like bottom.
Mao suits were named after late Chinese leader Mao Zedong, who frequently donned tight-collared outfits instead of Western-style dress shirt and tie.
Nine other models also displayed red and black dresses featuring Mickey Mouse patterns.
“I’ve liked Mickey Mouse since I was very little. They (Disney characters) gave me many happy moments during my childhood,” Tam, a Hong Kong native, told reporters.
She said the outfits will be available at her stores in March or April.

Bill Clinton showed yesterday why he made it into the book “The Art of Napping.”
During an appearance at the Convent Avenue Baptist Church in Harlem, the former president was caught nodding off.
