I’m partial to the Toffee Chocolate Chip…Dr. Disney
The French Pot method swirls our secret recipe of egg custard and fresh cream along the chilled sides of the slowly spinning French Pot freezer. As the ice cream mix freezes and thickens, a blade carefully scrapes the sides of the pot, gently folding the ice cream into itself. It is this gentle folding process that prevents the whipping of air into our ice cream and accounts for its extremely dense and creamy consistency. Where a typical pint of ice cream can weigh as little as eight ounces, a Graeter’s pint weighs nearly a full pound!
You can ship Graeter’s Famous French Pot Ice Cream throughout the United States (except Alaska and Hawaii). Just click the Order Now button and select your favorite flavors! Prices include shipping costs.

distant creations is a blog about the world and more. the world is: amazing. amusing. creative. confusing. this blog is here to deliver the best and most bizarre of the world and beyond. from distant lands to your home town.
topics to be featured here include technology, movies, television, music, collectibles (mainly action figures), theme parks (mainly Disney), video games, and any other interesting or strange news that pops up in the world.
the name 'distant creations' originated when I needed a term to summarize my many projects. my creations encompass a wide variety of fields and areas and are thus deemed as 'distant'.

Disclaimer: I have some family ties to Greater’s (but not even remotely any financial interest).
Greater’s IS great stuff. If you order it shipped to your house, you’ll get a box with some dry ice and some VERY COLD ice cream. You’ll probably have to put it in your freezer to soften up. But it is SOOOOO good. Dr. Disney is right, it’s the best stuff out there (next to my homemade ice cream, of course).
I’m partial to the chocolate chip, though I think it’s misnamed. This stuff does not have “chips” of chocolate; it has huge hunks of chocolate.

I knew the family when I lived in Hyde Park outside Cinti many years ago. They really are dedicated to a quality product and it’s one of the two things I really really miss about living there. (Jungle Jims is the other) Ive lived and travelled most of the US and knew they had something special first time I visited. It is unlike any ice cream I have ever had and beat out any other “la dee da” shops that I found out East. They also treat their staff and customers with the highest regard.
I knew they’d make it big. They deserve it. Just can’t wait to have some again.

Yep, we’ve been enjoying Graeter’s for many years here in Columbus, OH. Glad to hear it’s catching on!

Shhh. That’s a Cincinnati secret. Oh - I guess it’s out now. (You can try our Montgomery Inn rib sauce and Cincinnati Skyline or Goldstar Chili too).
Any chip flavor is awesome. Order it in a dish (or FedEx the pints) and when the teenager behind the counter scoops it for you, you get chips the size of half a chocolate bar in there.
