Park that originally inspired Walt is still a hit

Copenhagen’s old amusement park continues to be a hit internationally. In 2006, Tivoli was the third most popular amusement park in Europe and globally Tivoli ranks 20, writes the newsletter Take Off.

Tivoli had approximately 4.4 million visitors in 2006, surpassed in Europe only by Euro Disney in Paris with 10.6 million visitors and the British Blackpool Pleasure Beach by 6 million pleasure seeking people.

Globally, the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, dominates by 16.4 million visitors. Furthermore a number of Disney parks follow with Anaheim in California as number two followed by Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Sea.

  1. I was lucky enough to be based in Copenhagen several years ago and went to Tivoli several times–particularly when my 4 daughters visited. It’s gorgeous and clean and a lot of fun–particularly around Christmas time. It has a very classic feel–not dated at all.
