From playlistmag.com:
Following the recent release of The Sims Bowling for iPod, EA has followed up with The Sims Pool, a new $4.99 premium game available for purchase and download from the iTunes Store.
The game makes use of EA’s popular The Sims game franchise; you can customize your player, then select a game mode such as 9-ball or 8-ball, or trick shot mode. The iPod’s Click Wheel lets you set cue ball position, angle and spin, adjust power and shoot.
I’d love to play these new games, but since I traded in my iPod for an iPhone, I have nothing to play them on any more. Come on Apple, make the iPhone able to play iPod games.

From highdefdigest.com:

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has announced it will bring its first-ever collection of Pixar short films to Blu-ray this holiday season.
On November 6, Disney will debut The Pixar Short Films Collection exclusively on Blu-ray. The single-disc set will contain thirteen of Pixars short subjects, including such Oscar-nominated and Oscar-winning favorites as Geris Game, For the Birds and One Man Band.
Although most of these shorts have appeared on the standard-def DVD releases of Pixars full-length theatrical features, The Pixar Short Films Collection will mark their first appearance in high-definition.
The special release is being timed to coincide with the debut of the first Pixar feature to hit Blu-ray, Cars, which also streets November 6.
Disney has not yet announced tech specs for The Pixar Short Film Collection nor is there any official info on any supplemental materials that may be included.

They even stole all four of the Teletubbies! - Dr. Disney
Many of Irelands wax heroes and villains have vanished, been decapitated or stripped naked in a raid that police are blaming on drug-fueled youths.
The National Wax Museum, which hopes to reopen this fall, says at least 50 of its 400 figures were stolen or wrecked in a south Dublin warehouse several weeks ago. Police say they suspect that a door was left unlocked and the warehouse used as an all-night venue for a “rave” party.
Among those stripped of their clothes were Adolf Hitler, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, Josef Stalin, Charles de Gaulle, and rebel icons from Irelands war of independence with Britain. Read the rest of this entry »
