Don’t forget the minimum $60/month + taxes. Wow…

I’m not trying to be a jerk, but I’ll never understand all this hooting and hollering for things like this. You’d expect it if it were a free giveaway but you’re paying $600 and locking yourself down for 2 years. Is that really something to “cheer” about?

I forgot to mention I bought one and I’m excited about it. - Though, not so excited that I jumped up and down, cheered or high-fived anyone.

Wow, craziness. I’m not sure I would have been high five-ing anyone either over the notion of spending $600 on a cell phone, though I was pretty darn excited when I got my Wii for half that price including some games.
Regardless, I look forward to playing with someone else’s iPhone until either the price drops or they come out with a new iPod.

WOW! How cool! SO many apple nerds in one place! That is something to cheer about! I think also all these people are just so excited to have the first iPhone! It does look amazingly cool!
Thanks for the video it was pretty funny!
My concern would be the sealed battery ala the iPod, which for the phone, will reportedly only handle ~400 - 450 re-charges. Does that mean the unit is good for about 2 years?
Sales are lower than expected. I think this has everything to do with the price.
But personally, I’d be more interested in getting the version 2 or even 3 of this device. When they have ironed out all the issues and it’s got better capacity than 8gb! Already there is talk of a 16gb version.
When it hits 32gb I might consider it. But if they think they could charge £400 ($800) PLUS a £40 $80 per month contract in the UK and sell millions. I don’t think so. Wow.. that’s going to take SOME marketing.
