Animal Kingdom night time show?? Rumors abound.

Rumors on the laughingplace.com boards are mentioning a possible nighttime parade at Disney’s Animal Kingdom called “Rivers of Light” which may appear sometime in 2008. Supposedly the park will have a special “Nighttime Kingdom” theme as part of a DAK After Dark campaign. Could be sheer rumor — but makes sense to try and expand park hours into the evening. Fireworks are a “no go” at DAK due to the animals, but a nighttime parade with water and fire? Sounds like a winner.
A nighttime parade would be nice… However, would this be fair to some of the animals that are in the park like chimps in the towers? They are normally sleeping after dark…
I took and ed program at AK a month or so ago, and it turns out that Disney has alternative shelter for all of the animals. Plus, they can always have the parade route avoid the habitats of any irritable animals.

Do you have night time shows?
As of now, Animal Kingdom does not have any night time shows. There was talk of doing a night oarade but they would have to widen the paths to not only allow parade access, but room for the parade watchers and room behind them for people to get by and they felt it would disrupt the look of the park too much.
