Back to the Future officially closing March 30
It’s offical. The Universal Web site says the Back to the Future ride is closing next week. Still no word on any replacement. Rumors have speculated something based on The Simpsons, The Fast and the Furious, or Harry Potter. My vote is for The Simpsons.

Several months later, it’s finally closing. Now the question is, do I want to head back to Universal again to capture this attraction now that I have my HD camcorder. I’m thinking no. It was hard enough to film the flickery mess the first time around.. no reason to do it again.

Oh man… Another classic hits the dust. Hopefully something like The Simpsons will be a worthy successor. Because doing a Fast and Furious ride to me would be around the same level of bad as axing Hanna-Barbera in favor of SpongeBob and Jimmy Neutron.
BTTF will be dearly missed.
NOOO!!!! This is still one of the best rides of its kind and it’s a classic. It’s like tearing down Space Mountain to put in a new roller coaster.
I went last night for one last ride. It was my 7-year-old son’s second time riding it. He loved it. I was getting a bit tired of it, but after riding it last night, it renewed my enthusiasm for it. It really is a great ride.
