Universal Nascar Cafe open, Blue Man walkway progressing
I stopped in for a bite at the remodeled Nascar Cafe at Universal Florida’s CityWalk on Sunday. It’s really nice looking. It was totally gutted and redone. The main change is that they now have the game room upstairs and the dining is all downstairs.
The new walkway for the Blue Man Group show is coming along. They also have the studio (one of the old Nickelodeon buildings) painted blue.
The Blue Man Group is very cool… but I miss the old Nickelodeon Studios. I’m glad that area will no longer be an empty void in the park, but having Double Dare return would be nice.
That’s funny, I was going to leave a comment about how much I miss Nickelodeon Studios and Ricky already beat me to it. That place was great. Especially when they used to film many of their popular television shows. I remember on my tour we saw the set of “Legends of the Hidden Temple” Also, when you went on the tour, you participated in that in-house game show. And somebody got slimed! Ahhh…the good old days.
I agree. Now that my son is old enough to appreciate all things Nick, it’s not there anymore. Remember the slime gusher they had out in front of the buildings that would erupt green slime on the hour?
